Scalloping Charters in Homosassa and Crystal River Florida


Are you ready to go scalloping? Why not go scalloping in style this year? Come and board the Yabba Dabba TOO!  its quite the little houseboat. The boat has restroom on board with fresh water shower to rinse the saltwater after you are done scalloping and  even a toilet so you don't have to go in the water. Please leave this in mind when you travel back home as this will allow you an enjoyable ride home. Scallop season starts July 1st and ends Sept 24th. The scalloping beds are normally between 3 to 6 feet deep, which makes it fun for  everyone. However all persons wanting to participate are required to be know how to swim. We supply you with fishing license, masks, fins, snorkel, and catch bag. We also provide a nice sandwich platter with beverages. If your a coffee drinker got that as well with a Keurig coffee brewing machine.  We are conveniently located approximate. 1.5 hours from Tampa, 2 hours from Orlando, and 1 hour from Ocala. Pricing is $400 for the boat for up to 6 passengers maximum per coast guard 6 pack regulations.  The scalloping charters are 6 hrs. in duration. We leave from the public boat ramp located next to McRae's of Homosassa at 8 am and return at 2 pm. It's about a 30 minute cruise out the beautiful Homosassa River to the Gulf of Mexico and to The Scalloping Beds. There is seating on the back deck for 4 and 2 upfront so you can enjoy the view out to the scalloping grounds or just enjoy the shade and amenities of the inside. If you need to get in the shade this boat has you covered come on in sit down have a snack grab a nice cold soft drink out bottle water of the fridge! Scallop limits are 2 gallons whole per person and 10 gallons whole maximum per boat. Please be sure to bring a cooler to take your catch home in. If you clean the scallops before returning to the dock, that limit is 1 pint of scallop meat per person, with a maximum of 1/2 gallon per boat and the mate or captain is always willing to help you learn how to shuck them!
