Citrus County Florida is located on the Central Gulf Coast called The Nature Coast and is home of popular Homosassa Springs and Crystal River Florida. So if your traveling to Florida this place is the turn to place for the adventurous types of people interested in the non tourist traps of places. Citrus County Florida has a little fun in it for everyone from adults to children. Citrus County FL is known for being one of the most populated place for scallops manatees biking trails and golf courses and many other activities and festivals like our annual Cobia big Fish Tournaments, Homosassa Seafood Festival and our Manatee Festival and much more! So I am going to give you a list of different things to choose from while your here on your own Nature Coast Vacation. Before I give you this very nice list I want to make a statement about the Seven Wonders of the World in my opinion should be The Eighth Wonders Of The World or you may want to skip my opinion and scroll down to the list.
Fleetwood Mac for you baby boomers and just Fleetwood Mac for the Gen X crowd if even known
once wrote a song called Seven Wonders and what your about to read is my version of the Eighth Wonder Of The World I'm adding this in my opinion that who ever made the seven wonders or thought them up missed one small thing in my opinion the Florida fresh water springs. From time to time some whenever I am about on my boat and I'm listening to the song Seven Wonders I think about the fresh water springs of Florida. The eighth wonder of the world in my opinion. Where are these precious springs From Tampa Florida northward there are thousands of these fresh water springs where one of these is even well known as The Fountain Of Youth. The Florida Manatees even swim to stay in them during the winter months. They travel to these spring fed warm waters when the water temperatures of the gulf of Mexico reach below 68' F. These very beautiful springs one of which is called the Three Sisters Springs,is located in Crystal River FL and then east to Ponce De lion Springs which is the spring known as The Fountain of Youth. These springs should be as like I said before part of the eighth not seven wonders of the world. I'm sure as human beings that we can think of some more natural wonders to add to the list of wonders of the world but for me this is what I see and I think of when I hear things about the Seven Wonders of The World. These springs stay a constant 72' Fahrenheit year round which serves as an incubator for the manatees to keep them alive. These 72' year round springs is a great place to swim during the hot summer months of Florida. People also swim in them during the winter and summer month's just to have that once in a life time experience to swim with the manatees. yes these beautiful fresh water springs should be part of the seven wonders of the world.
Ok here is the list you have been waiting for!
